About
I am a fellowship-trained and board-certified pediatric dermatologist. My research and clinical interests are in morphea and other rheumatologic conditions such as lupus erythematosus and dermatomyositis. In addition to taking care of patients and performing cutting-edge research, I am passionate about training the next generation of doctors by teaching medical students and residents.
I strongly believe that the best care possible for each child comes from a strong partnership between families and the doctor. I practice shared decision making whenever possible, where I provide the medical expertise to empower each family to make the best decisions for their child’s health.

Dr Chiu was great at explaining everything so I and my daughter could understand. I appreciated that she talked directly to my daughter instead of just me to give her oppotunity to tell her what was going on.

I felt dismissed during the consult we were at children's dermatology to get some answers and all they did was look at the skin. Made a suggestion that these were from bug bites and he was having an allergic reaction. I let the provider know that he has not been getting bit and I would like them to look into this more. None of that happened and we were sent home. No cultures were taken no other ideas were explored except for the one narrative that they were going with.

Dr. Chiu had the entire staff is wonderful! My ex wife and I have taken our kids to Dr. Chiu for over 12 years now and truly appreciate the care they have received. It's such a friendly and warm environment in which the kids can receive care. Nice job all!

Provider was very calm and completed the removal quickly. She provided care instructions and made sure we were all set before leaving.
