About
Dr. Donisch is a licensed clinical psychologist that specializes in the treatment of the impact of trauma at the individual, familial, and organizational level. At the level of the child and family, Dr. Donisch supports youth and their caregivers in living with and recovering from traumatic and post-traumatic stress, anxiety and depression, emotional and behavioral dysregulation, and high-risk concerns like suicidal and self-harm ideation and behaviors. She strongly believes that caregivers are the experts in their child, and that treatment should be rooted in trust, partnership, and advocacy. Her practice is driven by evidence-based treatments, such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Parent Management Training, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Donisch’s professional interests include the development, implementation, and evaluation of organizational and community-led efforts to address systemic inequities and implement trauma-focused practices and policies for youth, families, and staff in healthcare, education, child welfare, and juvenile justice.
