Dr. Liljestrom is a pediatrician and internist who cares for children and adults when they need to be in the hospital. She moved to Milwaukee from North Carolina after completing both her combined pediatric and internal medicine residency and additional chief residency year in pediatrics. She feels honored to be able to care for children and families in the hospital setting. She believes in partnering with children and families to find the best care plan for them. She takes a team approach to hospital care believing that entire care team offers valuable skills and insight, all of which are needed for optimal patient care. In addition to hospital medicine, she also has interests in working to improve the delivery of care and teaching medical students and residents to grow into the best doctors they can be.
