Dr. Van Valin is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in Pediatric Orthopedics. He sees all types of patients and has an interest in pediatric sports medicine, trauma, fractures, club feet, arthroscopies (including knee, ankle, elbow, and shoulder) and various other pediatric conditions. He has published in various medical journals and is active in teaching orthopedic residents.
Dr. Van Valin is active in numerous professional organizations to include Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America (POSNA), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and the Council of Orthopaedic Residency Directors (CORD).

I cannot say enough great things to say about the provider we saw, he came in and sat down to talk to us, explained things well, he made my daughter who is 6 feel comfortable. I would definitely recommend him to my family and friends

Dr. VanValin is fantastic; he explains things in parent-friendly terms. He is so kid-focused and kind in his approach that it really made my daughter feel comfortable. I felt heard with all my questions. It's obvious he is highly knowledgeable in this field. I hope my kids never break a bone again, but he is hands down who I want to see!
