Dr. Foerster was born in Canada and trained there in Pediatrics before being offered a training position at Boston Children’s Hospital. She accepted a subspecialty fourth year of training in Boston in interventional cardiac catheterization, her current area of specialization. She worked in St. Louis at Washington University in St. Louis for six years before coming to work in Milwaukee at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children's Wisconsin.
